Mark’s understanding of business is rooted in over 22 years of leadership in the corporate world, where he served as a corporate officer and president of two publicly traded companies. In 1997, he transitioned from corporate leadership to business consulting, founding S6 Partners to leverage his operational expertise and education to help businesses thrive.  

 

Since founding the firm, Mark has specialized in crafting growth strategies, including mergers & acquisitions, strategic planning, and organizational design. He has also raised debt and equity capital, conducted business valuations, and structured numerous transactions across a variety of industries.  

 

Mark’s expertise has led him to take on influential public roles. He served as Interim CEO of the Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce, where he provided critical leadership during a pivotal period. Later, he was appointed Director of Entrepreneur Development in Governor Huntsman’s Office of Economic Development, a role in which he supported small-to mid-sized businesses and fostered entrepreneurial growth across Utah.  

 

Mark holds a bachelor’s degree from Weber State University and is a MIT Sloan Fellow, earning both a Master of Science and MBA from the Sloan School of Management at MIT.  

 

He resides in Kaysville, Utah, with his wife, Teena. Together, they have raised four children and are proud grandparents to ten wonderful grandchildren. Mark’s commitment to family, business, and community exemplifies his dedication to growth and excellence in every aspect of life.
